How is it that you can gain in only a day?

Does it drive anyone else crazy that you can watch what you eat for weeks, and it takes at least a week or so to lose a pound, pound-and-a-half, but the you can eat something heavier for one day, and the next day the scale shows a weight increase of a pound or more? Ugh! I know the answer, but I just needed to vent!

It's water weight caused by increased sodium intake, it comes off in a day or two. Happens to me all the time.0

No, I can't say it bothers me. It's completely unrealistic to think that your body weight won't fluctuate. No matter how skinny you get, you're always going to have natural fluctuations... you need to get away from the idea that it's a bad thing.0

I forget to remind myself about weight gain from the extra sodium. I know it will drop off in a day or so, but it really does irritate me.0
