Its sweeping generalization hour here on the MFP message boards. Just thought I would chime in.

But seriously, yes there are universals in weight loss. People need to consider their TDEE and BMR. People need to track weight, body measurements, and body fat percentages for a complete picture. Calories v. Calories out. All fine and good, The problem is, different people have different factors going in to that calories out side of the equation that will affect the calories side. People have different back grounds and different weight loss stories than you. They have different goals. The blanket advice posts condemning all who do otherwise are pretty effin tired. If someone asks for your advice, give it. If not shut up.

Unless you're me. I can make general posts about **** I see on here and do not like. The rest of you behave.
