Fat Burning Zone vs Fitness Zone (HRM)

Hello all! I just purchased a Polar FT-7 a week ago and have a question that has been bothering as I'm working out. I have lost approx. 85 lbs so far and I still have a least 70 more pounds to go. My question is should I be exercising in the Fat Burning Zone (for me is under 124 BPM) or shouold I stay in the Fitness Zone? (124 BPM-152 BPM) When I exercise in the fat burning zone I bearly feel as though I'm getting much of a workout. Any assistance in this area would be very much appreciated. Right now I have been jumping back and forth between fat burning & fitness.
