Did anyone see the TV programme on BBC just now?

Sorry only for the UK/Ireland people here. Well no anyone that has BBC1.

The programme was The Truth About Sport Products. They talked about drinks, runners and supplements including protein shakes. Interesting stuff.

Basically a group of scientists in Oxford University in the UK found no evidence that sports drinks make any difference, that fancy runners make 0 difference and supplements are actually required.

Makes me wonder if I should fork out 100 euro for expensive runners and 40+ euro for protein shakes.

Any other thoughts from people who saw the programme??

I missed that =C sounds intresting. I have however done a fair bit of research on the supplement side of things as once I get to 12.5 stone I plan on getting ripped =D.

Basically, the only supplements worth anything are Casein/Whey Protein and Creatine. I know that the natural Yohimbine is quite good but I have not tried as I have no need for it.

You can even get away with not getting the protein shakes and do it naturally but just means you have to plan it better as it does not get through your body as quick.

I love my whey protein powders though as I use it in quite a few recipes so I can cure my sweet tooth. My three fave are Peanut Butter Ice Cream, Peanut butter cookies and last but not least Protein Pancakes.

In case you don't know also check out myprotein.co.uk you can get protein powders a lot cheaper than supermarkets etc and there products are second to none in my opinion.
