Avocado sub. in cookie recipe
Thought I'd share this tip I saw today on Pinterest. It said that in cookie recipes you can sub 1/2 of the butter you use with avocado and cut the fat and calories by nearly 40%. So I tried it and you could not tell the difference....I promise. I'm not saying these are healthy...because they are not healthy. But every little tip like this helps I think. It did say it may turn cookies slightly green, but I used a chocolate cake mix so no green here. My recipe: 1 box cake mix (any), 2 eggs, 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 avocado.(may need to add a tablespoon or so of water if too thick.) Mix well then add in what you want (chips, nuts etc...) Spray your pan, spoon cookies on, bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes. I use to use a whole stick of butter, could not believe I couldn't tell the difference with only 1/2 butter and avocado!
