Planning Meals

Does anyone do what I do?

After every meal, I log what I eat. Based on what I have left for the day in my nutrients I track, I plan my next meal. So, if I am low on protein for the day, I plan a protein heavy meal next.

I kind of-sort-of know what I am going to eat every day, and sometimes I fall off that program.
That's when I change the plan or pop open a can of tuna as punishment for my sins.

I do the same thing! I'll even switch things out until I like my macro percentages better. I'll see that I'm running low on calcium and add a glass of skim milk or that I need some more potassium so I'll drink some low sodium V8... or if I haven't had enough iron, I'll have a square of dark chocolate that I keep in my freezer that has 142% of the daily recommended iron. Oh and even if I'm craving it, I try to avoid eating shrimp and whole eggs on the same day to avoid sky high cholesterol on my diary!

I had a rather carb heavy day today so I'm about to have some protein and healthy fats in a smoothie to help even it out!

    Always trying for that 40/30/30!!

Egg whites all the way! Scramble them with some spices and pepper and they are pretty nice. If you MUST half yolk, try 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg.

Im gonna have eggs tomorrow for breakfast >.>

Yup, I totally do that but I fried an egg this morning to put on a bagel thin... just not the same with an egg white... I normally add a lot of veggies to my egg whites- spinach, tomato, mushrooms, and another source of protein- scallops are delicious (don't hate on the eggs and scallops until you try it) However, the jury still seems to be out on whether or not egg yolks are actually bad for you and I tend to favor the not bad side myself as they've actually been shown in several studies to raise good cholesterol! When the medical establishment makes up their minds about eggs, I may cut whole eggs out but until then, I'm still eating them! :D
