Applesauce, oatmeal, pudding, jello, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, fresh fruits (ripe peaches, bananas, melon), yogurt...

I'm sorry, hun. I've had just about every orthodontic device at one point or another, and none of them are comfortable (I once had an emotional breakdown because I tried to eat macaroni and cheese a couple hours after getting an expander, but the darned contraption made it too awkward. I was young though, so I guess its somewhat acceptable. :P)

anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that I've been there, done that. So here's a list of food that I ate whenever my teeth hurt too much to chew.

~Macaroni and cheese. Cook the noodles a bit longer than what's called for, so that they get really soft. then you can just kinda smush them with your tongue and the roof of your mouth

~Ice cream. This was my go to treat whenever I had orthodontic work done. The cold helps numb the pain.

    ~Pudding/jello. No chewing needed!

    ~Mashed potatoes

    ~Oatmeal

    ~Yogurt

~Peanut butter, right off the spoon. YUM!

~raspberries are soft enough that you can just mush them between your tongue and the roof of your mouth.

    Hope that helps!
