Start weight and stats question...

My highest weight was back in 2010 and between then and starting MFP in April 2012 I had gone down and back up, but was still down 40 pounds overall.

Question is.. for those of you that joined MFP mid-weight loss journey, on your ticker/stats, did you just use the day you started here at MFP, or did you go back and put in your actual starting, or highest weight?

I guess I wonder because after some ups and downs, my profile shows I have lost just 1 pound.. which is true since I have been on MFP, but does not really reflect my overall progress. I am considering editing my entry to add June 2010 which is when I was at my highest and a few key dates/weights I remember since then, just to have a better reflection of the big picture, but maybe for some reason I shouldn't?

I realize it is a personal choice and what people have done will probably vary, but I am curious to hear what others have done and why.

Thank you

I just pressed the delete button on my weigh-ins from previous attempts and entered the weight I started at this time. Otherwise I would have had to lose 22 pounds before my ticker registered a 1 pound loss -- not great for motivation.

    HTH ;)

I guess I am kind of in the opposite situation... my ticker only shows one pound lost, when actually since my highest I have lost 40.
