i normally hate the thought of take away food.. but theres always that odd day when i crave a nice juicy take away curry!

this korma recipe is seriously yuuuuuuuummyy and only 350 cals!!

ingredients: (to serve 2)

one clove of garlic
half an onion
small piece of ginger
chicken breast
75g fat free natural yoghurt (i find 'total' works best)
2 tablespoons korma paste
1/4 teaspoon sugar
chicken stock (150ml water)
coriander leaves (chopped)

1. finely chip the garlic and the onion and grate the ginger, mix together.
2. add to the pan along with 5 tablespoons of water and cook for 5 mins until aromatic
3. add the korma paste, mix and cook for a further 2 mins.
4. add the chicken and stir, then add the stock and sugar.
5. leave to simmer for 10 mins
6. some people like to then remove SOME of the water, but it depends how thick you like it.
7. add the yoghurt and coriander, then stir. serve with brown rice :)

    sounds yummy. I love curry!
  • I love chicken korma, and most indian food. I've been cooking Indian food for, yikes, I guess it's almost 20 years. (How the heck did that happen!?!)

Always buying new cookbooks and trying new things. Indian food might be my favorite of all international cuisines. (Although asian dumplings rock, too...)

There are lots of recipes for a home made korma paste, if you cant' find it in a store. It's pretty easy to make, and you can tailor it the way you want it. The korma paste really is the 'magic sauce' both literally and figureatively.

If anyone is looking for a really good Indian restaurant cookery book google THE CURRY SECRET by Kris Dhillion

I'm a chef by trade and have tried many a curry recipe but this book is as close to a restaurant curry as you will get
