 Are the kettlebell workouts good for toning and strength? Has anyone had success with them and if so, would you share please? Before and after photos if you have them, or stats? Thank you!

I personally have had minimal interaction with kettlebells, and what I did have made it readily apparent they are good workouts.

With that said, guys I've worked very close with (on the same submarine together) swear by kettlebell workouts... and one is sponsored by Reebok for Crossfit competitions... the biggest thing to remember with these (and any workout really) is form. Don't push yourself to the point where proper form fails.

With any workout, try it out, do it right, if you like it... awesome! If you don't, try to find something you do, so it's not a "chore" to work out :)

Don't have any pics for you but I started with Kettlebells back in Feb... They have changed my body incredibly fast! Noticed changes within 3 weeks! Have gotten quite a few people interested in them and they all love doing it and it is a fabulous burn. Great strength training and cardio mix...good HIIT! You can't go wrong with it. Couple good series of dvd's... Kettleworx & Skogg! Enjoy!

I just started and I really do love them. I am using Jillian Michaels shred it with weights it is for kettlebell. A lot of people have mixed reviews about her I am enjoying it as a beginner. Eventually I would love to find a class that uses them or move on to other Dvds.

Just be wary of using a heavier weight with Jillian Michaels' DVD, there's a greater chance for injury the heavier you go and she doesn't have the best form.

http://www.myomytv.com/ has a lot of kettlebell workouts, ranging from beginner to advanced.

I second the recommendation for myomytv.com - I also got the Iron Core DVDs by Sarah Lukie (RKC trained) when I started out, she also wrote the book Kettlebells for Dummies which I'd recommend. You do need to learn good form from the start otherwise you could end up hurting your lower back and both her resources give you that.
