Litlle help ?

I think I need some guidance on low calorie intake and weight lifting. I am not getting my results as fast as I would like and I am not sure what to do about this. I have a trainer at the gym but I just don't think he is that knowledgeable and I really need help. If anyone wants to help me understand how to lose fat, gain muscle and eat the correct amount of food/calories, please chime in! To anyone who is trying to be super toned/muscular - do you pay attention to what the scale says? When I explained to the trainer that the more feminine look I am going for is Demi Moore from G.I. Jane, he said than you need to stop worrying what the scale says. I have been at this low calorie/working out for 6 months and I really think that I should have better results (I am happy with my accomplishments so far) but I guess part of the problem is I haven't fully giving up all the bad things (beer, pizza, bagels (these things I have occasionally, within my calorie limit or a cheat meal). Has anyone fully giving up everything "bad" and seen faster results? Could that be my problem? Is it better to enjoy the things you want and let the process take longer or get to where you want while not being able to enjoy the "bad" things occasionally?
Thanks,

My weight loss always slows down if I don't drink enough water each day.0
