Here's a recipe for sherbert that me and my mom LOVE!

2 cups low-fat milk
2 cups frozen fruit, thawed - no sugar added
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sweetner to taste

Combine all ingredients in food processor. Put in shallow dish and freeze untill firm!
If you want a smoother texture, process the sherbert again and re-freeze it!
I've added this to the foods list as "Homemade Fruit Sherbert"
Serving Size: 1 cup

I think I did something wrong here, mine turned out to be a rasberry popsicle with no stick. A great big brick of rasberry ice.:grumble:

Thank you so much! Everytime my boyfriend's daughter is with me we have to have sherbert and what I buy at the market is so over the top with calories and sugar...Your recipe will be great for us!

  • Thanks! That sounds awesome. Will using fat free (skim) milk work as well as low fat?
