getting back on track

My problem in the past has always been that one "bad" day means I should just quit altogether, but I know it's IMPOSSIBLE to eat at the most healthy level every single day. So how do you guys get back into the swing of things after, for example, a day of doritos, quesadillas, ice cream....

1) Do not let one mess up during the day derail the whole day. "Oh, I already had the quesadilla, the day is ruined, I may as well have the Doritos and ice cream too" is the wrong way to look at things! Your quesadilla put you 400 calories over? No big deal. Add in the ice cream and chips, and now maybe you're 1500 calories over. Harder to offset.
2) Every day is a new day. Ok, so you went all out yesterday. So what? It takes 3500 extra calories to add a pound of fat. Today is a new day. Don't punish yourself for yesterday, just get back on track. Stick to your goals. You'll be fine.0
