race for life first timer any advice

me and my 13 year old daughter are doing the race for life 5k on sunday at clumber park, we wont be running the entire 5k more of a walk/jog (not quite there yet despite starting to "train" in february) was just wondering if anybody could give any advice, hints, tips on what to expect on the day

Don't lose heart if you have to walk. Make sure to get out there early and stretch/ warm up with a light jog. Even if you have to walk the whole thing, don't give up! You can do it. This is your first 5k so don't lose heart. And what's really important is, after the race is done, do another one! Keep signing up for them. Having paid the entrance fee is a great motivator to actually run the race.
