Extra Heat Burning Extra Calories?

Options
I'm just asking out of curiosity, when it's 100 billion degrees outside and you immediately sweat just by breathing, do you burn extra calories? If so, I should be losing a few pounds this weekend. I'm in Nebraska and we're in a heat advisory until Tuesday. I know the majority of the country is in the same position. All we can do is guzzle water!

I searched this online the other day... The answer I got was no. However, I use a HRM and when I workout outside my heartrate is higher and I personally burn more calories. I would say that makes it a yes. All your systems have to work harder in 100 degree weather. I know if I walk the dog at 70 it is less of a burn than say 95 in the sun.
