Do heavy training on them 3 times a week! You wont become bulky. That's a common misconception women get. You don't have testosterone like a male so there's nothing you need to worry about!

The fear of women becoming bulking is unfounded. Unless you plan to lift 4 hours a day for 6 months or something. Hey, if you ever become bulky I'll shake your hand (and then you can lay off the weights for a while until you are no longer bulky). Bulky takes a TON of hard work.

Having a well rounded workout is best = stretch, cardio, and weight lifting. You can lift every other day. Some folks do weights every other day. Others do upper body one day and lower body anther day.

Not enough time to list all the benefits of lifting, but there are TONS. In sum, you will look and feel better, your weight loss will eventually accelerate, and you will lose inches. GO FOR IT!!!

The funniest thing about the bulky comment is that touching weights doesn't make you a bulldozer overnight. If (and that's a BIG "if") you did start getting too bulky then just stop lifting.

Start off with one of these programs if you're not sure what to do.

Better bone density (a problem for most women), increased metabolism, a smaller appearance, better looking arms butt and legs....
