Fitbit Stairs Issue

Hi everyone! I got a Fitbit yesterday, and I love it, but it's recording stairs I haven't taken. It claims today that I took 19 flights, but I didn't at all! However, I did wear it while driving over some hills, so I think they may be why? Has anyone else has this problem? Is there a way to turn it off during driving? I've written Fitbit, too, but haven't heard back yet. Thanks! :)

The main issue here is that I don't want a false calorie adjustment for this on my My Fitness Pal.

You can go on the fitbit site and log the activity as driving during the time frame it recorded the stairs. I have to do that when I run and stuff or fitbit gives me millions of extra calories :P. Also...when i run up hills it counts it as stairs sometimes...but not when I walk up hills. But as long as I enter in the activity it sorta cancels out those extra calories it wants to give you.
