So lately I've been making smoothies with different fruit and vegetables and almond milk.
I would like to know if anyone has any combinations of fruit and vegetables to combine so I can have different smoothies.

http://www.projectswole.com/diet/70-protein-shake-recipes/ = More for protein shakes but still good. Only reason I goto that site is for shake recipes.
otherwise you can goto: http://www.menshealth.com/smoothies/
those are the sites i use.0 -
my smoothies usually contain these sort of ingredients -
banana
strawberries
almond milk
vanilla yoghurt
ground flaxseed
protein powder
chia bran
not always at the same time. I like my shakes chocolatey and desert like
although that is not going to really help you out when you say that you want veggie and fruit smoothes0 -
I check those websites out thank you.
I love using strawberries, bananas and almond milk. I'll try making it less healthy tasting aha.0 -
I made a really good one the other night for dessert.
1 small frozen banana, sliced
4 strawberries
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
dash of vanilla
3 ice cubes
so simple but really good and definitely hit the spot. Whole thing for around 150 cals depending on size of banana. I think I'm making this for breakfast!0 -
I have this one for breakfast,
1 banana
1 handful frozen chopped peaches
1 handful frozen chopped mango
1 tightly packed BIG handful of spinach
about a cup of water
It turns Shrek green and is super yummie! (I don't have a thing against artificial sweeteners....so, if the banana isn't uber ripe, sometimes I'll add a little sweetener....otherwise, I let the banana's sweetness carry the smoothie.)0 -
3/4 cup of frozen blueberries
3/4 cup milk
1 scoop whey protein
1-3tbsp hershey's unsweetened cocoa (if you use more than 1tbsp, add a lot of artie sweetener)
1/2 of oats (adds 150 extra calories)
1tbsp peanut butter
little bit of artie sweetener
this tastes awesome! it comes out as a dessert!
cals are around 600 with oats just in case you needed low cal..0 -

My morning favorites are strictly fruit smoothies. I seem to center on fruits that go well with an orange.
My favorite has:
1 navel orange
1 serving red seedless grapes
ice
I have also made it adding strawberries, plums, nectarines, bananas or mangos instead of the grapes. I have also added spinach when I had some on hand.0 -
I make a "Green Monster" several times a week!
This includes"
1/2-C Unsweetened Almond Milk
2-C Fresh Spinach
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
Small Banana or 3 Strawberries
Ice!
I find if I don't add the protein powder I'm starving in an hour!0 -

I've been making my smoothies with oats and chia seeds lately, and it's SO good! You can't even really tell a difference texture-wise if you grind the oats and chia seeds finely enough, and it adds lots of extra fiber and other good stuff--plus it acts as a natural smoothie thickener. I start by adding 1/4 cup rolled oats (~75 cal) and 1 1/2 tsp chia seeds (~30 cal) to my blender and leaving it on the highest setting for 1-2 minutes. Then I add 1/4 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt (~35 cal), 1 cup liquid (whether it's almond milk, juice, or a mix of the two--it usually comes to between 60-80 cal for me), a frozen banana (~110 cal), and a little stevia. Anything else you add is up to you! Berries, a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, PB2... it should be fairly easy to keep it under 400 calories for an ultra-filling and satisfying meal0

kale, mint leaves, frozen pinapple/mango and water. add frozen banana if you need it to taste less green.0
-
spinach is good with frozen berries (straw and blue) and frozen banana. use water.0

I stay away from the usual dairy smoothies mixed with yoghurt/milk etc....
But a good refreshing "wake me up" smoothie/slushy drink I make in the morning is:
50g frozen blueberries, 50g frozen blackberries...chucked in a blender with a can of Redbull light.... (I also add liquid aminos to it but thats just for protein content, not taste!)
Also works with most berries and other fruits.. those are just my favourite 2!

I have this one for breakfast in the morning.
1 c of orange juice
1 1/2 c of spinach
1 c green grapes
5 - 6 medium sized strawberries
1 banana
2 c ice.
The color is horrible, but it tastes amazing.0 -
