New to MFP

Hi, I joined yesterday and am really excited. I have been taking care of others for so long that I have found it hard to take care of me. I want to be the healthy person in my mind that I know I can be. There's lots to learn and change in terms of habits and attitudes. I am a little scared, but really want to lose 30 pounds. I really need to lose about 48-50 pounds. So I am gonna concentrate on starting with baby steps: let's get through my first 5 pounds. Thanks for listening.

    I'm kinda new to MFP myself. I have about 50 pounds to lose. I'm also a mom and a teacher. It sounds like we have a bit in common. So, if you feel like having a buddy on here, just friend me and we can encourage each other. You took a great first step by joining MFP. I know you can do it!
