So how did he lose 400 pounds? Mike says he walked a lot, watched his diet, and, "I actually played video games to lose weight."

What's that? You changed your diet and exercised? I wish this article wouldn't make it sound like ALL he did was play video games. He cut out 5 packages of Ramen noodles as a SNACK from his diet, he was cutting thousands of calories a day.

That was quite inspiring, thanks. He obviously had some kind of 'aha' moment.

Wow, that is crazy! I'm glad he's healthy now!!
  • You know even though the spot glossed over the diet and exercise aspect that's still pretty inspiring. He lost 400 lbs...thats pretty darn amazing. Makes my 150 seem small.

I'm not saying it's not inspiring, or that it wasn't hard. My gripe is if the average Joe (or even somebody closer to his starting weight) reads it they'll assume all they need to do is play the drums. I understand, "Man loses 400 lbs by diet and exercise" isn't a very captivating headline, but I'm afraid it won't effectively inspire others to lose weight healthy.

The video in itself kind of explains that you can't just do it through playing video games, but with exercise and healthy eating.
