Hello,
I was trying to incorporate exercise into my daily life, and I have recently broke my foot. This has made it hard for me to workout, and the most that I can do is strength train. I plan to eat less calories (1200-1400) because I am very sedentary. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can do since I am not suppose to put much weight on my foot. I am going to do some strength training involving lifting weights, abdominal, and thigh strength training.
Not being able to move has also caused some boredom, which has lead me to be eating more than I should most days. Any ideas are welcome.

Have you visited a physio? I tore my acl quite badly and insisted on not having surgery (but I'll have my face hacked at like there's no tomorrow... go figure. I guess anaesthetic isn't scary when it's being administered for cosmetic reasons ) so went for physio to see what could be done to strengthen the muscles surrounding in order to lessen the strain on my poor knee. Anyway, she also suggested quite a lot of exercises that I never thought possible, just to keep my fitness up. Obviously a broken foot is something totally different but you might find out that there are things you can do to maintain fitness and prevent yourself from becoming totally sedentary.
