So.... I didn't lose any weight this week BUT lost about a quarter of an inch in most places and gained it in my chest!!!! happy dance!!!! What i don't understand though and hope someone can explain this to me..... if we can't "spot reduce," then why isn't the loss of inches not equal are consistent all over my body? I lost an inch in one place, a quarter of an inch in others... not that i am complaining - just trying to understand. thanks!!!!

When people say you can't spot-reduce, it just means that you can't choose where on your body the fat comes off. For most people, it doesn't come off evenly. Some people carry a lot of weight around their waist, and that's the last to go. Others store it in their hips and thighs. It comes off unevenly, and you might be able to predict it if you understand how your body carries weight, but you can't do certain exercises that will make you lose more fat in one place.

Your genetics basically determine where you would lose the fat from first. In my case, it was everywhere but my waist, lol.

I've lost almost 2 inches off my waist and yet I have lost only 3 lbs (as of today). I too was baffled, until someone pointed out that exercise plays a role in re shifting your body weight too :) I've looked in other sites and this seems to be the case :)

It seems weird to me to. I really want my fat apron to disappear but that is where I am seeing the least inches lost so far. So far I am losing all over with most of it being in my chest, thighs, and legs. Oh and I can see a major difference in my face when I compare it to when I first started.
