First week

I have been on a popular weight loss program for a little over a year and have lost just about 27 lbs. I started tracking my calories here last week and today I was down 1.6 lbs. What I would like to know from people who have been doing this for a while is whether regular weight loss continues if you stay within the recommended calories. I don't do a lot of exercise due to physical limitations, but I try to walk a little every day. I know from experience that I will have weeks when I don't lose or even gain, but is it reasonable to expect to average a lb. a week over a period of time.
