Free Nike Training Club app, 50+ excellent workouts

This app is amazing. I don't understand why more people on here don't use and love it. It's super popular with the "Fitblr" community on Tumblr, but I get the feeling the average demographic there is younger so gravitates more to apps (and free vs "I had to spend my allowance on this DVD).

It has more variety than the Jillian Michaels DVDs everyone loves (don't get me wrong, I love 'em too) and the workouts are as intense or more so than the perennial fave 30 Day Shred. You can choose from Get Lean (cardio heavy), Get Toned (cardio and light-med weights), Get Strong (med-heavy weights with some cardio intervals) or Get Focused (15 min, body-part specific routines).

If you have an iPhone you should really do yourself a favour and download Nike Training Club. It's totally free. Try it for a week, even just adding a Get Focused workout after your usual stuff. I bet you fall in love. :)

  • I have this app. I love it! I can take it with me ANYWHERE and I dont have to lug around DVDs. I can choose a work out with or without weights depending on where I am at the time. I love how the app guides me through the exercises and the rewards it offers!

I've been using this app for about 3 weeks - I love it! So far I've only used the Get Focused section, usually working two different areas (such as arms and abs, or shoulders and legs, or whatever). I love that they are just 15 minutes and that you can mix and match the workouts. I've been doing these and then usually some cardio - either a brisk walk or a kickboxing DVD 3 days a week, and running the other 3. It's a nice change from the Jillian workouts (I have a stack of them I've been rotating through for the past couple of years ).

I need to branch out and try some of the other workouts in the app!
  • I love them too! I just have some trouble figuring out how many calories I've burned. Any tips?
