Exercise DVDs for me and my mom

Hello guys!
I convinced my mom to start exercising with me, we're gonna start doing DVDs at night. This would be great for her health, as she is constantly depressed because of her current weight.

She said she has a preference for exercises that resemble dancing, but anything is fine as long as it's not too intense and won't demotivate her (I've done Insanity myself and while it was ok for me, I think it would be too much for her).

Any recommendation is welcome!

I usually can not stick with exercise videos but I love Leslie Sansone's walk away the pounds DVDs. Those I could do everyday, and I have two left feet. Lol

I agree. I love Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds! The 3 DVDs that I use the most are the ones with the booster cables, the hand weights, and the stretchie bands. Your mom can choose 1 mile or more, and she doesn't have to use the weights at all unless she wants to use them. Leslie's DVDs also offer various intensities as well.
  • Up please, it's not just for me
  • Thanks girls, I'll take a look at those!

I just ordered some ballet training DVDs...to change it up. Have been doing P90X and looking to sub in something different. The one I picked after reading reviews on Amazon was "Element: Ballet Conditioning" by Elise Gulan

I actually like Turbo Jam. It's dancy, but not too much so, for people like me who have no dance skills. Also, you can modify the moves if you're more of a beginner, or step it up if you're more advanced - so it might be good for both.

I you have a local library, you can borrow things and see how you like them before going and buying.
I like bellydance videos (there's a neat one by Kathy smith, but since I've had classes i'm not a good judge on how well things are explained). Also, I like burlesque ones, my library has burlesque beat and the PCD workout. They're both a lot of fun, and looking a those girls is quite the inspiration...

    Have fun ;-)

Check out Yoga Booty Ballet. You can find their DVDs on Amazon for a good price. They have a burlesque one, a Bollywood one, and a "light and easy" one which might be a good beginner workout for your mom.
