Hi everyone,

I ran my first 10k today and I didn't need to walk once. I managed it in 51:44, much faster than my original 60min target. I managed to keep up my 5k pace by using my Nike plus app on my phone. I have never run that far before, but have started to run 5k once a week at an organised park run. It has really helped me keep focused and build up my speed and stamina. I recommend you check out your local park run if you have one locally.

I have been rubbish with my diet these past two weeks and am hoping this will be e start of getting back on track. I have already signed up for my next 10k to keep motivated. I can't quite believe I did this, a few years ago I could barely run because of a knee injury!
