How about some lean turkey or a roast turkey, fruit cups and raw veggies like carrots and broccoli?0

I meant roast a chicken...0 -
I don't know how you would get your food to stay good for 4 days unless you have access to ice. Is this like a pitch-a-tent-and-stay-for-4-days kinda thing, or do you stay somewhere else that would have a fridge?0

I was going to say the same thing as the above poster that it might be difficult to keep fresh healthy stuff for that long. What about just going "Atkins" style, i.e. no carb for the event. Grab the burger and throw away the buns. A bag of apples will keep for that long, bananas, get some all natural peanut butter and whole wheat bread. Protein bars. Nuts (unsalted)0

yeah its a camping event. no fridge unfortunately!0 -
I would pack nut mixes and Larabars. And any fruits that don't need to be refrigerated. You could also look into a protein/supplement powder that you could just mix with water.0

veggies, fruits, nuts, peanut butter and pita bread, bring the package, protein bars.. then just eat the burger...atkins shakes, the kind that's a meal. pita chips0

Here's an idea.....create your own "shake mix" with powdered skim milk, protein powder (maybe chocolate), and a little artificial sweetener. Add the mix and water to one of those shaker containers, a bit of ice from a vendor, and you've got a pretty good breakfast. with a piece of fresh fruit.
Look for Justin's individual packets of almond and peanut peanut butter and individual packets of "trail mix." Maybe a packet of tuna or salmon....some have crackers and mayo. Apples and oranges, maybe grapes. will keep for 4 days. And individual containers of fruit that are designed for lunches would work, too. I think they also make those individual containers with green beans and peas,.
Vegetables will be the hardest. I'd start out with a cooler with bags of carrots, celery, broccoli, maybe hummus. Small tomatoes will last 4 days without refrigeration. I keep mine on the counter for over a week sometimes.0 -
thanks for all your suggestions, some really helpful ideas0

Dried fruits. For long trips I buy a couple of pounds of whole carrots and make carrot sticks. They can last for a while without refrigeration. Its my favorite snack. I would still keep a cooler with some ice though. If its an option, you can buy small electric coolers that plug into a cigarette lighter in the car. I love mine.0
