I came across this forum not looking for weight loss tips per se, but for recipes. I wish I'd found it earlier! My weight loss journey started almost nine years ago, when I was 16. I was about 330 lbs at 6'2", never really cared until one day I spontaneously -- and somewhat randomly -- decided that I was done being that way. By the time I turned 18 I was down to 180.

I'm 25 now and, while there have been some fluctuations (probably as low as 170 and as high as 200) I've generally managed to maintain a healthy lifestyle while continuing to replace fat with muscle.

I've been in the Air Force for 2.5 years or so. I didn't lose weight with that specific intention, but I certainly don't know where I'd be if I was still over 300 lbs.

It seems like this community is really active and supportive. I hope I can contribute something here and there, even though I've generally been pretty eccentric in my weight loss/maintenance strategies. :)
