Recipe:
1 Apple cored, 1c blueberry, 1/4 avocado, 2c kale and 1/2 c water. Add water and Kale Blend until well chopped and green, than add the fruits and blend until smooth.
Base Fruit Apple
"Apples are a good source of fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants. Studies suggest that apples may protect against osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s disease."
AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY!!
Review:
This was really good, not to sweet and surprisingly the apple didnt overpower the entier thing. The blueberry gave it a sweet slight tang too. No taste from the avocado though. I actually had made this the night beore an it was VERY thick in the morning so I added a bit more water and it was perfect!
According to MFP the caloric intake was about 282 so I had this for breakfast and it held me for about 4 hours than I wanted a snack so thats about right for my diet. I did notice I was thirsty thought. Not sure if it was coincidence or if it was because of the sugars in the fruit that made me want to drink water like crazy! (could have been the salty pizza from the night before too though!)
