Another Blender Question: Easy Cleanup?

For all of you blender owners/smoothie makers:

How easy to clean are your blenders? I currently have a blender but it is such a pain in the butt to clean (separate rings to take the blade out and have to wash several pieces). Anyone have an easy to clean version? I want to start making smoothies in the morning but haven't yet because I don't want my blender to sit dirty all day long and I don't have a lot of time to clean it in the AM.

Has anyone tried those hand blenders that you just put in your cup and blend? I am usually making only a smoothie for me and would consider buying one of those kind if it will chop up frozen fruits and not make a huge mess!

Thanks in advance!

PS: I have already searched the forums and have found lots of recommendations on blenders but not in regards to their cleanup.

I have a Blendtec four square. I normally rinse it as I'm waiting for the hot water to get hot. I then add a cup of hot water and a drop of dish soap, add the lid then pluse for 5 seconds (the recommended cleanup per the manual). I the dump and rinse the suds away and store for the next use. Super easy and one of the reasons I choose it over the Vitamix.
