Weight training/Cardio???

Hey Everyone!
I need to figure out how much weight training and cardio I should be doing.
Right now I do Zumba a twice a week, kickboxing twins a week, I run at least 3 times a week, and almost no weight training.
I want to improve my running. Do I need to do weight training? I think I do? Should I be doing other type of cardio stuff? I hope not. I like what I'm doing! :-)
Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

if you want to improve your running you will need some weight training. you should 3 sets of 15-20 of lite wieght for all your major mucscle groups. one exercise for chest, back, and shoulders. you should definitely do your abs every day. weighted ab crunches side/oblique crunches definitely bar twists, and leg or knee raises. you will definitley want to do your legs. at the very least a squat or leg press and calf raises. depending what you are training for should determine the amount of weight you do. ie if you are running a hilly course you will need more strenghts in your legs so you may want to go a little heavier. the whole key for doing your legs is to prevent muscle loss and to help prevent injuries.
if you want to improve your running check out this website (http://halhigdon.com/) hal is well know in the running community and i can promise you this if you follow his program for whatever type of race you are doing you not only complete it but you will PR it0 -
If you like what you're doing then keep doing it. Nobody has to weight train, nobody has to do cardio. Later on your goals may change, so change your program then. There are many benefits to strength training, but to me the most important think about any exercise program is that I enjoy it. Do what you like now, and we'll figure out what you need later. As long as you're doing something, keep going.0
