Hey everyone...I"m on day 22 of making the cut. 8 days to go! I'm not doing the eating part of it so much...just keeping track of calories most days and eating healthy most days.
I haven't been doing this for wieght loss really, but more muscle tone and definition...I have 2 questions...

1. my knees have been bothering me...do you think it's okay to modify making the cut...LOW impact?

2. is this workout a prequel to p90x. I really want to do that as a personal goal soon after Christmas...

Thanks

Cindy

The prequel to P90x is power 90, but if you can pass the fit test that comes with P90x you should do it.

I started with P90x as I was already in good shape which you should be after this program. P90x is quite high impact, but they do give modified versions of most moves, so if you knees bother you you should still be able to do most of the program. Good luck
  • (1) Yes, modifiy if your knees are bothering you. Also ensure that you have good, supportive running shoes. I personally found that moving to the next class of runners has really helped with any foot or knee problems.

    (2) Making the Cut and P90X are unrelated programs, however you would be ready for P90X if you've done Making the Cut - it is a tough program, but amazing!

Good advice - you can even further modify if you have to (e.g. during the lawn mowers, I lean my arm on a chair instead of my right knee - as that one has problems).

You can also skip the Plyometrics (jump training workout) and substitute other, lower impact cardio.

    Thanks guys...
it seems to be the plyometric moves that are bothering my knees...where I've never had knee issues before.
thanks for the tips and advice...I will check back regularily about p90x ...
    and get new running shoes...

Good luck Cindy! I really found the running shoe situation helped - I used to buy the Nike or Adidas runners that were under $100, just to save the money, but then it seemed all my runner friends were recommending that you have to pay for the first tier qulaity (like the higher end Adidas, Nike, New Balance, Asics, and it really really does make a difference! I would never spend money frivolously, so I don't think it is a waste - you will feel it in your body!).
