Trying to figure this out...

I have been working out for 3 months. Strength training 2x a week, and running intervals 2x a week and then running at least 1-2 weekly. In the last couple of weeks when I go to do my long run on Sundays (right now I can run 1.4 miles with no walk breaks) the first 3-5 minutes of running I am struggling. To the point I am thinking about walking. I manage to push through it by telling myself things like "You were able to do this last week, you can do it this week" or "Last week it felt hard too, keep going" Then it seems like I setlle in and am fine for the rest of the run.
I have even tried slowing down. Any thoughts?
