Logging HIIT without a HRM

I discussed changing my upper body workout with my PT on Friday, and he suggested a more HIIT based workout as I am near my goal weight. I am happy with this, but I am unsure as to how to log it on MFP.
I have searched this subject on MFP, and the question of logging HIIT has come up before, but all the responses were to use a HRM. I am on beta blockers for high blood pressure and therefore I cannot use a HRM.
Does anyone have any suggestions as how to log HIIT or a rough estimation as to how many calories you would expect to burn for an hours workout?

100 pounds lost?!!?! WOW! Great job!
Can we confirm that we are talking about the same thing? One term is HIT for high intensity training, the other is HIIT for high intensity *interval* training. You mentioned changing your upper body routine, so I'm thinking we're talking about HIT and not HIIT? In English, we're talking about strength training, not cardio?0 -
Strength training, I am not too hot on the jargon0
