In August/September of 2009 I hit my heaviest weight of 355 pounds. I was miserable, my knees hurt, my blood sugar was acting crazy, I wasn't sleeping well and I felt like I would be stuck like this forever.
Fast forward a little under 3 years and I have lost 102 pounds 55 of which since joining MFP in Oct. of 2011) clocking in this afternoon at 253.2 pounds. I've turned into a distance runner, tackling 5K's 10K's and even a half marathon (with two more registered and waiting). My knees feel better, my blood sugar is not longer an issue and I sleep like a baby. I still have about 40 pounds to go to reach my goal, but this is such a HUGE milestone. I suffered through a 6 week long plateau where I was stuck at about 92-95 pounds lost.. thinking I would NEVER hit 100.
I've gone from this:

If I can do it... I know you can!

I'm impressed with your weight loss, but equally impressed with the running! What great determination to get to the point of surviving a 10K! That still sounds daunting to me. Keep up the fine effort - you're looking great!0
