Little Personal - People in long term relationships

Hi

This is really personal but I am just so down!

Me and my bf have been together for over 4 years, we have a good relationship! But I have always went up and down in my weight, sometimes due to medication and sometimes due to bad food choices! When I met my bf at first I was about 11 stone and I have went up and down between 11 and 13 stone since then!

But recently I have noticed during my most recent weight gain he has seriously "gone off me" and I know its not all in my head, because I know what he is like when I have lost about a stone I have noticed it before but it has never bothered me so much, maybe its just because I feel so down myself about my weight!

I have quized him about it again and again but he just says to me "your beautiful and I love you", now one thing you have to know about my bf is, he is unbelieveably honest, so I think he even knows he would be stepping mark if he said it was because I gained weight!

I know this should be a thing to help push me on but I just feel quite hurt about it atm. I wanted to loose weight before I even met my bf, so this is not a new thing and I dont know what I want him to say, I understand that he has "gone off me" but I am just not sure how to handle what has happend!

I guess I just need some advice!

Thanks x

I think you might be reading more into it then he is.. Naturally were attracted to our partners more when they're fitter it's a fact of life but I don't think we love them any more or less because of it.. Just focus on what you want to do im sure he loves you just the same :)

My boyfriend is incredibly honest too. I kind of had the same feeling a couple of years ago when I gained a lot of weight. But then one day it became clear why he was less physically interested. I had lost my confidence. I stopped acting the same way I did before and stopped initiating anything myself. Once I realized that and gained some back it was a lot better. Maybe you should trust that you're sexy to him and feel that within yourself. Let that confidence shine out.

This might also be due to age. I know at my age, the ladies want more nookie than the guys. I was self conscious at first, but then I heard some friends talking about how they are going through the same issues. It has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with mother nature.
