That's awesome! Great motivation! Wish I would have had that idea when I was still losing!

    Hi!

When I decided to start exercising on june 26th I decided to invent a game for myself, to keep me motivated.

    For every 20 minutes I exercice in a day, I get 10 points (15 points for 30min).
For every day I finish under my calorie goal, I get 10 points.

At 250 point, I get a facial at the beautician.
At 750 points, I get a day in a spa.
At 1000 points, I get myself tailored clothes.

I am now at 400 points. I need to find myself a prize for 500, which might be a sushi cooking lesson.

I even keep track of my points in an Excel file with a chart.

I also added "achievements" like in a videogame. For instance, if I eat 5 portions of vegetables in a day, I get 20 points. If I exercice 7 days in a row, I get 20 points, etc.

So what do you think of my game?

I love your idea, I could really use it for cardio cause I really hate cardio

I used to do this with my husband...if I worked out 4 or more times a week he would get me a treat of some sort. Now that I am exercising 6 days a week and a lot more focused on the weight loss aspect of this (when we first started that game I was 35 pounds lighter) you've motivated me to make a new and improved chart like yours! Thanks for the inspiration...I've already reached the 250 mark!

This is actually a really good idea! I love the idea of a reward system, but most of them are like "put a dollar in a bottle every time you workout" and for someone on a limited budget, that just doesn't work well for me. I work out 5-6 days a week regularly, so that's at least $20 a month which is like a week of groceries for me. This is a great idea though, I might give it a try. My eating habits especially have been hard to keep up recently.
