Hi,
I started paleo two weeks ago. Thus far I've cheated both weekends a bit with too many sweets, which is unfortunate because I felt terrible afterwards, both emotionally and physically.
My goal is to do full paleo for 30 days-no cheating whatsoever. But to do this, I think I'm going to need some support.
So who's with me?!?!

Been doing it for 13 months now. I had cravings at the beginning for pasta and things like that. It gets WAY easier if you can keep it up. I actually enjoy eating real food and it actually starts to taste better after a while. I honestly think my taste buds have adapted. Also, I really like food, and when you eat healthy you can eat so much more because the calories are not as condensed.
My first piece of advice is when you cheat, forget about it (this goes for any diet). Don't try to exercise more or eat less the next day or anything like that. Psychologically, it will put you in a position to cheat more in the future.
You need to really determine exactly why you're cheating. Is it because you're bored? Do you not have any other food options? Do you not have the discipline (yet) to resist the urge if you see sweets?
Once you determine the underlying reasons for cheating, you can devise plans to ensure you don't put yourself in positions to cheat again.
Moniluv: As with any diet there are variations, but the general idea is that you don't eat anything that they wouldn't have been able to eat in the paleolithic period. It's sometimes referred to as the hunter-gatherer diet. If you can pick it or hunt it, you can eat it. Put another way, if it's edible without any sort of preparation (fire), you can eat it.0 -
I've been doing this for a month and I have cheated twice So I'm up for the straight 30 day challange! Cutting the sugars and starches/carbs and processed junk has made my weight melt off! Go Caveman Eaters!!!0

You can all add me if you;d like.0 -
I did the 30 day challenge in January. It was amazing. Not only did I lose 8 pounds, I found a whole new lifestyle. I do not eat strictly Paleo now, but probably 80/20. It is amazing how great you feel when you follow it strict though.0
