Last winter, I started counting WW points. I lost weight slowly, which is fine since I know that's healthy. I had reached the halfway point when I hit a plateau. Then I tore a bunch of tendons in my foot and had to stop my walking and biking workouts.

Now that my foot has healed, I find that I have zero desire to exercise, and I've gained back almost all the weight I lost last year.

In other words, I have become a slug. Help!

I work and know how tiring and frustrating that is to want to lose weight so bad but have absolutely NNNNNOOOOOO desire to remotely move!!!!!! Just remember the saying "You canthrow in the towel, or use it to wipe the sweat off your face!"

I do understand your frustration since I struggle with being & feeling tired all the time. But, it all depends on how bad you really want it.

    Here is my success story,

I hope it helps & motivates you.
  • The truth is that we can encourage you, but only you can motivate yourself. What is your WHY? Why do you want to lose weight? What is your goal? Is to fit in a smaller size? Is it to get healthy? If it's to fit in a smaller size, find a picture of an outfit you would love to wear, tape it to your bathroom mirror and look at it every morning. If it's to get healthy, then what will you do once you get healthy? Take a trip? Where? Find your WHY and you will find your motivation.

I also went through a period of not wanting to do anything. However, once I got Hip Hop Abs and ChaLean Extreme, I loved my workouts and looked forward to them. Find something you WANT to do.

    You can do it.

    Thanks for the support, everyone!

To answer the "why" question, I want to have more energy and not develop diabetes and high cholesterol (family history). Having my clothes look good on me (as opposed to being too snug) is a plus, but not the primary reason.
  • That is a great reason! I lost my grandfather Sunday night, and as I sat at his funeral today, I was reminded of why I decided to take charge of my health and get fit and healthy. When you start making smart choices about eating and exercising, you will be amazed at how much more energy you have. When you do the right things, you get the results you want.

For me, when I started drinking Shakeology, my energy level increased dramatically. On the days when I don't drink it, I can definitely tell the difference.

You can do this. You have the best WHY so think about that when you are tempted to slack off. And make sure you post daily for accountability. We are here to cheer you on. Feel free to friend me.
