Hello everyone, i just logged what i'm going to eat for dinner at 5pm and i'm coming up short on achieving my calorie target for today. I've been working all day trapped at my desk with no time for lunch, ( poor planning i know!) and i intend to go to an excersise class tonight too, so what should i eat when i get in tonight after my class? as i don't want to end up having two dinners!
I'm not intentionally under eating, as i've felt really ill if i go under 1200 cals. Need more friends too with tips and advice if you have the time. Thanks.

Tuna salad can't harm and is quick and easy :)

Have some veggies, fruit, oats, or a small amount of rice?

Hurrah for tuna! that won't keep me awake either hopefully. I'll have that and some milk and that should do it.
I want to avoid reaching for the cereal at night and replacing old bad habits with new ones!

I would strongly suggest that you ensure you have the proper amount of protein for your day at least. If you cannot make your calories for the day, at least make the protein target for it.

Eat a spoonful of peanut butter or some nuts... both pack a lot of calories for a small amount of food that won't make you feel as though you are eating too much. Or add some oils, etc to your dinner to add more cals.
  • Chicken and avocado pita with greek yogurt is one of my favorite quick higher cal meals. Avocado is a powerhouse. :) I love them.

And for desert you could have some peanut butter on whole wheat crackers or something to boost your cal's without eating bad food.

Tuna bake is a mainstay of mine ... Tuna + Veggies + a tin of chopped tomatoes, topped with grated cheese ... Lob in oven until cheese is golden.

    I add sour cream too.

Make in bulk and microwave when needed, it'll last a few days easily and will give you way more nutrition than a bowl of cereal ;)
