C25K how long between days

I started the C25K on Friday. I did day 2 yesterday, and I felt some soreness in my shins when I started, but it went away as I continued. Today, I am having more pronounced shin soreness. I have had shin splints in the past, many years ago when I tried to start running. It got so bad I couldn't run at all. This time, I am running on dirt/grass so as to reduce the impact a little. I don't want to get sidelined by shin splints again. Should I give myself more time to recover in between? I even have some awesome running shoes that I got from a running specialty store where they assessed my foot type. I really want to run, so any advice is much appreciated.

Have you tried this? I'm really interesting in trying. I've only been icing, so maybe this will be what I need to get rid of them (I've been fighting them form months). Thanks for the link!!0 -
That exercise completely stopped my shin splints. I was never a runner before doing C25K (I'm halfway through the program) and my shins were killing me before I started doing the exercise. Hope it helps you both!0
