I've watched enough INSANITY informericals, and I was able to actually meet Shaun T and workout with him on Saturday in Landover MD. It was fantastic. Wow, is all I can say! He is intense. I am a runner and I strength train, but that was not enough for the workout I had with Shaun T. I thought that I would at least be able to keep up some, and some is what I did. I must admit, I did a a pretty decent job of trying to keep up. But, I've decided to take the plunge. I just order the tapes today. They should be be here btw 7/27 - 7/31. Unfortunately, I go on vacation 8/2. So, if anyone wants to start with me and we keep each of encouraged, please feel free to sign on and befriend me. I encourage veteran INSANITY participants to sign on and keep me and others motivated.

My brother is supposed to lend me his Insanity workout DVDs, so if that happens anytime soon, I'd love to join you!

I'm doing insanity right now, and my last day is August 6th. I plan on taking a rest day and starting the program again on the eighth (so I don't fall out of routine). So, I will only be a few days ahead. :)

In the beginning you will probably gain a few pounds. I did. This is just water weight from your muscles taking a beating. You should also get a heart rate monitor with a chest strap to accurately measure calories burned. And yes, try to eat back most of your workout calories. :) Just some beginner tips.
