Fitbit Calories Burned vs MFP Question

FitBit says I burn about 250 calories per Jazzercise session but I once accidentally logged it on MFP (before I knew to just let the two sync) and MFP says I should have burned almost 550. Which one should I trust?

You're probably somewhere in the middle of the two. I've never done it but if there's a lot of arm movement, Fitbit probably underestimates. MFP seems to overestimate many things. I would figure that most people can't burn more than 10 calories/minute, so if the class is 50 minutes and you feel like it's the hardest you can work, I'd call it 500. If not, I'd go less.0

Does your fitbit know your age, height and weight? And does it keep track of your heart rate? If so, I would go with that one.
I think MFP overestimates much of its calories.... sad, but true.0 -
That makes sense! The class is 60 minutes but 35 of those 60 are abs and arms so that makes sense that it would underestimate, I didn't even think of that! Thank you very much :-)0

The FitBit knows age, weight and height but not heart rate...I had no idea MFP was known for overestimating... what a bummer!0

Since I got my FitBit, I only use that for calories burned :0)0
