Somebody put something in my drink (I think)

I was out at a club with some friends Saturday night. Drinking, dancing... then suddenly went from pleasantly buzzed to face down on the sidewalk in a pool of my own puke, covered in sweat and unable to lift my head. The last time I puked from drinking was 14 years ago in college. At first I just felt really drunk, then within moments everything was spinning and I kept walking into a wall over and over until I collapsed. My fiance ended up taking me to the hospital, where I was able to answer all their questions coherently, but unable to lift my head or open my eyes. I was drinking a bit more than usual and drank beer before liquor, but It was basically 3 beers, two small mixed drinks and two shots over at least four hours -a lot, but I'm over 220 lbs and I had eaten a big dinner. The only other complicating factor was that I forgot to drink water. I'm getting a urine test on Wednesday, but just wondering - has this happened to you?

Yep, I got roofied a few years back and thats exactly how I felt. They actually tested me at the hospital and found out what it was. I had only had like 3 sips of my drink and a few minutes later I got deathly sick. I had went to the bathroom and left my drink and thats when he put it in there I think. I had a friend with me, but she was talking to some friends with her back turned. I dont know the guys name, but I know it was this guy who kept bugging me and asking me to dance and I kept saying no. Not fun i'll tell ya that much.0

I hardly ever drink. When I do it's minimal, and when it's not minimal I tend to get really lazy and fall asleep. I'm not the pepper party girl. Alcohol just makes me giddy and sleepy. I was vacationing in a place I didn't want to be due to family so I and decided to go to the bar to get out of the house. My intentions was to find the male strippers but they were off that week :P Anyhow, nobody ever buys me drinks downtown when I'm home...but this guy offered to buy me one right off the bat. I was like cool, this hasn't happened before. I went up to the bar and got passed the bottle from the bartender. Smirnoff ice.
I was there for like 20 minutes and got offered a drink by 15 guys, it was ridiculous (hardly any girls there). Anyway I was talking to a bunch of guys from home about work and home etc etc. I finally accepted another drink a while after I was done since my buzz was wearing off and once again got passed another smirnof by the bartender. I didn't put my drink down and I'm one of those crazies who hold my finger over the bottle hole when I'm not drinking it when I'm around strangers. I remember watching the bartender crack the bottle. I didn't see anything go in. I felt fine, happily buzzed off my one drink. I wasn't even through the neck and everything was spinning, voices were going in and out...and I could see strobe lighting except I knew there wasnt one. I remember watching someone talk and not hearing anything, and watching the black hole that was their mouth and then suddenly hear the voice circle around my head. Sometimes they'd be still and I was spinning. I was freaked, called mom before I got a third drink that God knows who passed me that I had no intentions to drink, and told her I was drugged and went to the bathroom. I sat down on the toilet and as soon as I landed the bartender knocked on the stall "You've been here for a half hour, you have to leave". Suddenly I was standing outside and there were people trying to convince me to go to a bar across the road. I didn't know who they were. I remember feeling really hot like I was going to pass out and my heart racing like mad. Then I looked down and I was at a sidewalk. I looked up to see if there were any cars so I could get away from the bar where I was drugged. I wanted to be around a mass of people who weren't these people. A blue truck went by, and then I decided I was going to walk across the road. It was a fairly empty street. I told myself "alllllll...riighhttt.....callmmm downnnn....waalllkkk....slowwwwww...." and went to take 1 step but then it felt like I took 50 in speed motion. I heard someone say "watch out, truck" and pulled me back. I looked and it was the same blue truck, and it was still coming in my direction (not passed yet, again). Suddenly I was behind the bar by myself and the bartender opened the door and started yelling through the back door but I couldn't understand what was going on. I went to lean against the bricks. The guy who bought me the drink appeared and said he was looking for me everywhere and didn't know where I went. Then mom pulled up. Thank God.
Messed. Alcohol does not do that...not in 2 drinks :P I puked the entire way home and blacked out at some point and woke up in the morning feeling like hell. That's the only time I've ever puke while drinking.
I have no idea what it was if it was a roofy or what, but it was potent and I would recommend against :S0 -

My husband had the guys over on Friday night. They each had 2 mixed drinks (mojito--2-3 shots), 2 beers, and some straight up whiskey. Over about the same number of hours. No one ended up face-down by the fire pit. No one drank water in between.
This is more than their usual Friday night out (they just had not hung out in a while since one of the guy's wife just had a baby).
The big dinner and the spacing out of the drinks during the evening also did not lead to any hangovers the next day.
I think what happened to you is not a normal Friday night drinking situation. At all.

thats scary and wicked sucky. why didnt they test you at the hospital and why arent you going for a pee test before wednesday? your husband must be pissed...id be pissed after i was done being scared. i'm sorry *hugs*0

Beer before liquor makes you sicker, liquor before beer you're in the clear. DUH
Hope you get it figured out next time. Also, if you had any drinks that involved energy drinks, they induce blackouts
ETA: I had 2 vodka and red bulls after 3 beers and I had the SAME problem.0 -
go back and have an extensive drug test done. they should have done that and if they didnt, you need to find a new hospital!
Luckily you were with someone you trusted because you could have been raped or worse!! I worry so much about this. Seriously, if you order a drink, sit down and drink it. NEVER SIT YOUR CUP DOWN EVER!!!! this is how people die!!

Happened to me years ago, someone put something in my drink. I knew who it was. Two laters I called him and told him off. Ofcourse he denied it. But it sounds VERY familiar. I would concur, yep, spiked drink.0

Sounds suspicious. I weigh 160 and I can drink more than that over a shorter time period without getting sick. And usually when I go from tipsy to drunk there is plenty of warning that I need to slow down.0

It happened to me once, when I was young and very, very ignorant about those things.
It was on my first drink, which was just some mixed thing. I only finished about half of it and felt fall-down drunk, could barely function or keep my eyes open, which obviously isn't normal from 1/2 a drink. I stopped drinking and had water, and didn't realize until after the fact that I had been drugged.0 -

They did urine and blood tests, but they discharged me without telling me the results.0 -

Well, I was out with a friend and her friends I didn't know. There was a gay guy, A whose creepy boyfriend, B showed up later in the evening, and there was an impressionable young gay guy, C, there as well. At some point everybody was drinking the same crappy beer. So I'm kinda working on a theory that B tried to either drug A (his own boyfriend - and apparently things weren't going well) or C, and that I got one of the other guys' drinks. My fiance said that the B was in a hurry to leave and like I said, he was kinda creepy.0 -
Do you know these guys? If the test turns out you were drugged, maybe you should give A or C a heads up...

I rarely drink, but 7 drinks over four hours would have me buzzed, not nearly unconcious. Sounds suspect, for sure.0

Yep! Happened to me on my birthday about 7 years ago. I am not surprised that the hospital didn't handle it properly. Too often they don't recognize that guys get drugged like that. Ah, gender roles! Gotta love 'em.
Sorry that happened to you! We should all live in a world where we don't have to watch our drinks or keep our thumbs over the bottle opening, etc. That is ridiculous.0 -

someone put something in my drink
they served me, but then brought out a pitcher of juice to mix with
when they walked out of the room i put my drink in the pitcher and everyone drank out of that the rest of the night
i was a teenager....so it was all i could think of doing to protect myself at that time0 -
Could have been a roofie or an allergic reaction to a type of alcohol in your drink. I have a sensitivity to Gin, so I have to be careful what *kind* of Gin I drink. Learned this sadly after a night of drinking and feeling fine, then a few sips into a rail Long Island face down in my own bile. Unpleasant.0
