I regularly get pain in my shoulders. I have a 7 month old who I seem to be carrying a lot, nursing frequently and often sleeps in the crook of my arm which means my shoulders are at the same angle for a long period of time every day. When I work out, I find my my shoulders hurt a bit and click a lot.

Is there any way I can strengthen my shoulders/muscles in that area so that it might not be so much of an annoyance?

I have been working on this since January. When my youngest ( now 8 ) was an infant she slept in the crook of my arm so much that I ended up with Spasmodic Torticollis ( which is pretty much a nerve out of place ). I now get botox shots in my neck and shoulders every 3 months from my neurologist. So far trying to build muscle hasn't helped but it hasn't hurt any either...

    Hi,

I don't know if you are suffering from the same thing or not but when I started working out I had and issue that my shoulder clicked like hell when doing side raises. It used to make my arm go a bit numb after a while. I have been lifting weights etc to try build some muscle to burn more calories lol. Anyways, long story short I did a bit of research and found out that it maybe due to not looking after my Rotator Cuffs. I did some exercise on them and after 2 week I dont seem to be having an issue any more /touchs wood.

Here is a video from youtube on how to exercise them

Thank you so much for the link!

I know it's not going to be much longer with my daughter co-sleeping (she is teething hard right now, so she likes the comfort...and I like the sleep) but I really want to get these muscles in check anyway!
