Breaking Up Exercise Throughout the Day

How do I record exercise that I break up throughout the day? How little can I record at once?

Usually, I exercise in one long session. But I have laryngitis and a cold, so I've been doing little seven minute stretches of exercise today. Seven minutes seems to be when my body just says no. (I've had a couple of rest days, due to the cold, and am doing low impact stuff today.) I read somewhere that you shouldn't even note less than 10 minutes, because that's when your heart rate is raised long enough to count. But these are real workouts, with lots of squats and leg lifts and lunges. Would you count the 7 minute intervals and eat back the calories (that I generally do eat back) or should I note count unless I do 10, 15, or 20 minutes?

I like to walk after meals and just record it as I do it, usually in 10 or 20 minute blocks. As long as you keep an accurate record I don't think it matters enough to worry about, though I'm guessing doing it all in one go is more beneficial.
