HELP! anyone have some good ideas for dinner when its just too damn hot to cook?

As a woman who loves to cook, I don't want another night of cheerios just because they are yummy, cold and quick.

Salads are excellent. Grab some spinach, iceberg lettuce or pre-mixed salad leaves, then get some berries like blueberries or raspberries, then some lean protein like turkey breast or roast chicken bung it all together and you get a nice light refreshing meal. I also like to add cashew nuts or sunflower seeds for a more crunchy texture.

Buy a rotisserie chicken and eat off of that? Sandwiches and salads. Cook something in the crockpot overnight, or cook rice, beans, etc late at night or early in the morning to eat the rest of the week.

I scrapped my plan to make rice for this exact reason. I decided on a tuna wrap and some fresh cucumber from the garden

I cook on the grill those nights, doesn't heat up the house. Chicken breast....yumm! Throw on some hot dogs for the picky kid in the house.

salad (the yummy kind), cold pasta, cold noodle, cold soup, umm....grill meats, and if you really want to, cook using the microwave?

Grilling outside will not heat up your house. Of course, it's hot while you are cooking, but if you put on some sunblock and drink some cold water, you'll be fine.

I also like to use the crock pot or eat cold sandwiches on hot days. Salads are always good too.
