Personally I love just lemon juice with a bit of pepper! Very low (almost no) cal :) you can also add a bit of cumin and coriander if you like a moroccan-y taste (really nice with baby spinach leaves, chickpeas & sweet potato)

it's not a recipe but I found Marie's Yogurt dressings- my favorites are the blue cheese (70 cal per 2 tbsp) - I can eat buffalo chicken again, oh yeah!!!!! the parmesan caesar (50 cal per 2 tbsp) is very good and the coleslaw dressing (90 cal per 2 tbsp) is very good too. The calories might be a higher than some of the fat free or the light dressings but to me they taste so much better. I have been eating the coleslaw one pretty much everyday for 2 weeks. I just buy coleslaw mix in the bag and add 2 tbsp of dressing and I've got a quick easy side dish, snack or even lunch.

    Make them yourself, for example:

1 cup Fage 0% plain Greek yogurt
3/4 cup fat free cottage cheese
3/4 tsp "better than" beef bouillon (optional, for stronger taste)
    minced onion
    onion powder
    garlic powder
    dried dill
    Frank's Hot Sauce

There is about 240 calories in that whole entire bowl, and you can divide it up into whatever serving size you want (or use it as veggie dip  )

I found that "semi home made" oil and vinegar based dressings are easy to make and you have full control of the calories because you can adjust the oil your self.

Look for Good Seasons dressing mix or Knorr Salat-Krönung for example.

If you have a look at the ingredients at the package your will find that it would be ease to mix this up your self... and have a real home made marinade that tastes very good. But the packages are good if you are short on time, it takes only 1 minute to shake this up:

Here is what I use with Knorr Salat-Krönung (smaller pack than Good Seasons):
    1 tbl Oil ~ 120 cal
    2 tbl vinager ~ 0-15 cal
    3 tbl water ~ 0 cal
This will be enough for 6 portions a 25 cal / 85g lattice, this is a lot of salad.

For the Good Seasons package tells this can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

these are lower in sodium then most salad dressing as well

My favorites are mixing some garlic or roasted pine but hummus (about 2 Tbs) with some water and a tsp of olive oil. Also love mixing 2 Tbs of light sour cream with a few Tbs of salsa, sooo good!

I've given up all "bottled dressings" and now use
    salsa (homemade to control salt)
    balsamic vinager
white vinager with pepper flakes or other spices (let sit to mix flavors)
