WAHH!

Well, I overate today...exercised a lot (brisk walking for 40 minutes plus Jillian Michael's 30 DS). I'm still 195 calories over. Sooo, how do you bounce back after a bad eating day?

Write it off as a loss and move on to the next day. Remind yourself that you'd have to eat that much over your MAINTENANCE (I assume you're working at a deficit) for 18 days running to gain a pound. Since you're already running a deficit, at the very most it means that you will lose a tiny tiny bit (negligible really) more slowly this one week. Don't every worry about it. Tomorrow is a new day!

Only 195 calories? Thats not bad! I had two bbq's this weekend and was over by 600 cals EACH day (mostly from alcohol)! I was up two pounds today but I'm not sweating it, I'm sure ill be back to normal a few days. I ate under my calorie goal today (which is probably not good advice), drank extra water and going to do extra time on the elliptical.
You'll be fine, don't worry about it!

I completely agree. Acknowledge the bad day and move on. We are all going to slip once in awhile. Don't beat yourself up. You'll be back on track tomorrow.

I have heard from several people that because of the fact that MFP estimates the cals...there is no way to really know how much you are eating. You are only estimating to the best of your ability. They also said that going 100+/- the goal is not the end all... it falls in normal parameters cos everyone is different.

So going over by 100 or being under by 100 isn't the end of the world, at least that is what I was told and going by that seems to be working for me.
