Focusing on love handles

No matter how thin I've been there's always a little extra pouch of fat on both sides of my back above the buttocks. When I was really skinny it just made it look like I had feminine curves, but it was still there. I have no butt so it sucks! I used to do the Slim in Six program and I remember the instructor putting us in low plank and saying that was a good way to work the muscles. I'm doing Insanity and in the second month, while they've definitely gotten smaller, I can tell at the end they're still going to be there. I can definitely accept it's just genetics but it'd be nice to be able to reshape them.

Oh darlin don't get me started on love handles and back fat! I've lost 83lbs and my mid-section is what's still left....stubborn! I'm also in my second month of Insanity as well! Two more weeks left! I have really seen improvement though! My mid-section still needs lots of work but it's so much better! Next is Turbo Fire!
Like I said, it's the last to go. One cannot 'spot reduce' but with hard work and persistence, we can do it!0 -
I think it is becuase you know it is there. But I am after the same thing, back fat be gone. Congrats on all the great exercises.0

You can't spot reduce fat, unfortunately. From your description though, it sounds like building up your butt might help- I would work on squats and deadlifts, they'll build up your glutes and help with overall fat loss, which will eventually help the problem areas.0
